Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA), Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), or equivalent work experience*** The position will be responsible for supporting a number of both third party and internally developed application systems, and develop and maintain a comprehensive library of support documentation. Evaluates products and upgrades for appropriateness. Oversees and implements system upgrade strategies. 4+ years experience in maintaining, installing, upgrading, troubleshooting, and general support of mission critical business applications involving a wide variety of technologies as an IT system administrator, system engineer, application developer, or system analyst is required. Understanding of software development lifecycle and application architecture, including but not limited to release management, database design, application and data level interfaces, messaging, portals, thin and thick client installations, software packaging, software versioning, source code management, external application dependencies is required. The candidate will have an understanding in some of the following: *-Network operating systems (MS Windows 2000/2003, XP, Linux, AIX, etc) -Data communications (TCP/IP, DNS, WINS, IPX/SPX, SNA, FTP) -Network security (VPN, Firewall rules, SSL, IPSEC, IDS, RADIUS) -Web and service oriented architecture (IIS, .NET, JRE, WebLogic, MQ Series, Web Sphere) -Clustering, load balancing, etc.* *Client/Server Appl.
