*Title: Middleware Developer **Location: Scranton, PA Duration: 1 year* *Face 2 Face* *Local or close by consultants required. * *REQUIRED SKILLS:* *Web Services, XML, C#, IBM MQSeries, MSMQ, VB 6.0, COM/DCOM, COM interop, C++ * *Experience needed:* - 5 years working with client server computer systems. - *5 years middleware component development with Microsoft technologies* - *2 years *experience developing and supporting *C# code that communicates with java web services* - Troubleshooting - Production support - Good communication and documentation *Description: *The candidate for this position will fill a middleware developer position on an Infrastructure development team and will work alongside several other highly skilled middleware integration technologists. The candidate will be responsible for modifying and supporting existing middleware components and creating new ones. Languages required are listed above. - Middleware products that must be supported include *VB6 and C# objects*running on *WinTel platforms*. - The candidate will need the ability to *analyze existing C# and VB code * and understand what modifications need to be made to the existing code to support a given requirement. - Position requires increased *participation in the production support and troubleshooting areas* and a normal developer role in other companies (30-40% heads down development). - Must have a solid background working in a *formalized SDLC process*. Requirements analysis, effort estimates, component development, unit testing, defect resolution, and production support will be part of the job responsibilities. - Must be capable of assessing complex situations and quickly arriving at technically sound solutions. - Must be able to communicate with individuals of varying technical expertise as they will have to interact with other developers, system testers and business analysts.
