LOOKING FOR PEOPLE WHO CAN CONVERT VB6 to VB.net (If you don't have this experience, please don't send your resume) Location: Durham, NC Duration: 6 months to hire Rate: $32/hr Client is seeking .NET developers for conversion of VB6 applications to .Net. Developers are needed with the following technical qualifications: * 4-6 years in developing, testing and debugging Windows applications using Microsoft .NET, Visual Studio 2003/2005, VB6, VB.NET, ASP, ASP.NET. SQL Server and relational database is a plus. * Experience in test driven development is desired. * Experience in conversion from VB to .NET will be an added advantage. * Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or Statistics Graduate with a GPA of 3.5 or above preferred This project is being executed using the Agile SCRUM methodology. To maintain the effectiveness of the team, technically qualified applicants should also have the following teaming and people relationship skills: * Good communication skills, primarily for presenting ideas within the project team or within the company. * Excellent teamwork skills, recognizing that the success of the team is more important than the success of the individual. The successful applicant will demonstrate a personal commitment to the success of the project. * Willingness to mentor / train other team members in technology as required. * Ability to build and maintain trust-based relationships with others at all levels of the organization and with customer staff as required. The developer will be responsible for * Conversion, development, testing, debugging, and maintenance of applications using the technologies referenced above. * Understanding the project processes and using them efficiently as directed by his/her supervisor(s). * Any other project tasks as required.
