Primary Responsibilities:
* Function as first point of contact for Web server issues running IIS
and Apache
* Participate in the support and implementation of Web applications
using MS SQL 2000/2005
* Ensure proper configuration and security on Web and FTP sites
* Conduct ongoing monitoring and maintenance to ensure stability and
performance on servers
* Responsible for keeping management up to date on outstanding issues
* Participate in the on-call rotation and provide after hours support
as needed
* Perform other production support activities as required including
but not limited to: hardware and infrastructure, third party application
support, and domain administration
Required Skills:
* IIS v5.0 and v6.0
* Installation and configuration of IIS in a production environment
* Performance tuning and problem troubleshooting in a production
environment
* Implementation of code from non-production to production
* Website migrations from IIS 5 to IIS 6
* Apache Web Server
* Windows 2000/2003 system administration
* WSH and VB Scripting or PowerShell related to server maintenance
* MS-DOS Batch Scripting related to server maintenance
* SSL Integration
* Hands on experience with Load Balanced web servers and Web Server
Farms
* Excellent written and oral communication skills
* Ability to work with developers and end users in a professional
manner to resolve business critical problems in a high stress environment.
Preferred Skills:
* IIS Hang and Crash Debugging
* Development experience with .ASP, .Net (C# and VB), JavaScript, HTML
and .PHP
* CA SSO technologies
* Linux System Administration
* Microsoft Clustering
* Citrix
* HP and Dell Hardware Knowledge
Experience:
. 5+ years IT experience with at least 2 years in a large
Data Center environment consisting of 250+ servers
. MCTS/MCITP in Windows Server Administration and Support Preferred
. CCNA Preferred
