I Make sure the consultant's skills *perfectly* match the requirement. * * * F2F Required* * **Network Engineer - Washington, DC* * * *Rate : Open* The selected candidate will support a Federal Government client and be a senior-level professional responsible for the transition and migration of networks, development of complex network designs, and integration of local and wide area networks. Analyzes and evaluates existing or proposed systems and devices to process and store data. Develops technical standards and interface applications. Identifies and resolves security risks. Participates in preparation of technical proposals. Resolves complex network problems. Support enterprise operations including, managing DNS and Active directory, group policies, start up scripts, server and workstation configurations. Develop workstation and Server builds. Defining enterprise roles and responsibilities, including developing common processes and Standard Operating Procedures. Performs daily systems checks and maintenance tasks (backups) and implementing new systems and technologies into the network environment. Prepares routine monitoring reports and assists in problem analysis. Prepares detailed program specifications and coordinates the system's installation with the user department, ensuring satisfactory results. Distribute software to and patch all enterprise systems. Monitor and proactively fix enterprise systems. Create high-level technical policies and scripts to maintain directory and DNS. Troubleshoots and resolves local and wide area network problems relating to network operating systems and email systems. Provides technical expertise and oversight during implementation phase. Serves as Level III technical support to remote offices. Requires 5+ years experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Competent knowledge and skills utilizing Red Hat Linux, Oracle, SQL Server, MS Exchange 2000/2003/2007, SMS 2003, McAffe TOPS, Win2000/XP, Cisco administration. Experience with Desktop Image creation and Symantec Ghost to copy and deliver images to desktop systems is required. Experience with COOP/DR, C&A, FDCC, and IT Security highly desired.
