SQL Programmer/SQL server DBA position
We have a SQL Programmer/SQL server DBA position with one of our
direct client at New York.
Project Duration: 1 Year
1.Develop SQL scripts and DTS/SSIS packages that facilitate the flow
of data between sources and
other systems (both internal and external).
2.Create and maintain data flow diagrams and mapping
documents.
3.Modify existing solutions to support changes in business
requirements. Examine data flows and work to increase optimization and
improve efficiency.
4.Explore opportunities to automate and schedule back-end
processes and data transfers.
5.Provide SQL support to SBS’ application development team.
6. Participate in the software development process by writing,
reviewing, and optimizing stored procedures and
SQL statements
Mandatory Skills
1.At least three (3) years of experience working as a SQL
Server database administrator or SQL programmer
2.Extensive knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server 2005, including
familiarity with SQL Server Services such as Reporting Services and
Integration Services
3.Demonstrated experience writing, analyzing, and optimizing
advanced T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and DTS / SSIS packages
4.Strong proficiency in MS Excel, Access, Visio, and Project
5.General understanding of the software development process and
familiarity with the Microsoft .NET Framework
6.Exceptional critical thinking and problem solving skills -
ability to rapidly understand strategic objectives and design robust
technology solutions
in support of those objectives
7.Ability to understand existing business applications and the
database infrastructure used to support these applications project
plans,
identified dependencies and critical path elements, and
complete assigned task accurately and on time
8.Excellent communication skills- must be able to interact with
senior program management, technology management, technologists,
program line staff,
and Agency partners
Desired Skills
1.VBA, Access, PowerPoint and Excel.
2.Programming skills in VB, VB.NET, ASP/ASP.NET, VBScript and
JavaScript
