This is my direct client opening for *C Developer – Washington, DC*. This is a 2 months Contract position. The hourly rate is $36-$38/hr. Local candidates only. *Job Description:* Account is seeking a C developer to work at client HQ in D.C. for up to 2 months; no relocation or travel. They use a legacy system built using C, that does the work of managing scanned documents, filing them appropriately and accessing them. An Oracle database is used to store document pointers, while the actual documents are stored on a file system. The system has not been recompiled in a while. We will need an expert to come in, review issues with recompiling, recompile the code and get it to work with a newer release of the Oracle database software. *Requirements for the person:* - Expert in C programming and debugging.
