*Job Title: Global Server and Storage Backup Designer Location: Wauwatusa, WI Pay Rate: $50/HR Length of Assignment: 6 months to perm Job Description:* *Open Position: Server Technology – Global Server and Storage Backup Designer * * * *Essential Functions:* *The global server and storage design team has an open position for a Global Backup Designer/Architect. The global backup designer's role is to provide a stable, predictable, and scalable environment for the delivery of I.T. solutions. It includes providing leadership and project level management in the planning, evaluation, design, development, implementation, operation, and control of large, complex Information Technology solutions. Initiate direct communication with a wide range of client, supplier, regulatory, application, architectural, and systems personnel. Ensure conformance to established system architecture, methods, regulations, standards and practices and participate in their creation. Participate in long range planning and assure they are consistent with business objectives for resiliency, disaster tolerance, and regulatory compliance. Help set the vision for the organization and define projects to achieve that vision. Prepare a program to create and maintain leadership awareness and metrics and enhance the skills required to develop and implement a Backup Program or process and its supporting activities. Pre-plan and co-ordinate plan exercises, and evaluate and document plan exercise results. Develop processes to maintain the currency of continuity and compliance capabilities and the plan document in accordance with the organization's strategic direction. Verify that the Plan will prove effective by comparison with a suitable standard, and report metric results in a clear and concise manner.* * * *Develop, design and lead a holistic global strategic solution for remote consolidation and centralization while standardizing on single hardware and software solutions. Develop and maintain a backup capacity and simplification processes that includes global inventories, centralization, quarterly capacity predictions, hardware leasing strategies, consolidation opportunities, and datacenter space needs. Create single global backup design documentation and templates.
