*Short Description:*
This Product Specialist is the expert for the development, enhancement and
implementation of new network hardware and set of products. Primary
responsibility is to ensure availability and facilitate productive use.
Complete Description:
Please note: Start date is ASAP (01/2009).
Plan, coordinate and implement network enhancements within the DHS Core
network environment.
Incorporate new hardware functionality within other critical network
environments such as NJSPIRIT and NJKIDS.
Assemble four 6500 series Catalyst switches.
Perform burn in and test procedures.
Research code level issues and upgrade original IOS if required.
Perform configuration analysis of existing devices.
Create appropriate configuration files for each device.
Upload configuration files to each device.
Define steps necessary for migration to new devices.
Assist on installation issues.
Monitor and troubleshoot any issues during and after transition.
Recommend ways of enhancing the Network Security Environment (LAN, WAN and
Enterprise).
Provide Tier III support.
Audit environment for compliance.
Knowledge transfer.
