Job Title : *PeopleSoft HCM Technical Consultant* Location : CITY OF RALEIGH, North Carolina Project Duration : 6 Month(s) Preference : *Green Card or Citizen* Skill Set : . 7 + years of extensive and recent hands-on PeopleSoft technical experience. . 5+ years of technical or techno-functional expertise in PeopleSoft HR, Payroll, T&L, Base Benefits, Benefits Administration, and eBenefits modules. The last verifiable PeopleSoft HCM/ HRMS project experience should have been gained within the recent six months. . Expertise in formal design and development of solutions in multiple versions of PeopleSoft HCM/ HRMSincluding version 8.8 or greater. . 7+ years of proven expertise in structured SDLC methodologies with ability to design and document technical solutions in various PeopleSoft HCM/ HRMS modules. . 7+ years of hands-on PeopleSoft design, development, maintenance, and troubleshooting expertise in conversions, batch programs, online objects, reports, application security, and workflow utilizing all PeopleSoft development tools including Application Engine, Application Designer, SQR, XML Publisher, PeopleCode, Integration Broker, Query, Component Interfaces, and Security. . 2+ full lifecycle PeopleSoft implementations lasting at least six months each and covering design, development, testing, cutover, and post go live stabilization phases. . 2+ years of hands-on experience with PeopleTools 8.47 or greater. . Authoritative knowledge of PeopleSoft development and integration tools. . Demonstrated experience in tuning applications code and performance. Nice to have skills: . Experience implementing PeopleSoft HRMS and Financials in the public sector. . Experience with PeopleSoft HCM/ HRMS ePay, eProfile, ePerformance, eDevelopment, Talent Acquisition Manager, and Candidate Gateway. . Experience with PeopleTools 8.49. . 1+ year of PeopleSoft HRMS production support. . Experience analyzing and applying PeopleSoft maintenance packs, patches, and tax updates. . Development experience on version 8.4 or greater of PeopleSoft Financials (PO, ePro, IN, AP, AR, BI, AM, KK, Grants, PC, CO, GL, EX). . 6+ months of PeopleSoft Financials production support. . Strong working knowledge of PeopleSoft Internet Architecture as it relates to application development and troubleshooting. . Experience developing J2EE based web services in an Oracle SOA environment. . Experience with web based technologies like XML, SOAP, WSDL, and Java. . Experience with Oracle Business Intelligence Publisher. . Experience integrating with external and internal systems using PeopleSoft Integration Broker (PeopleTools 8.47+). . Experience with application security integration with LDAP, Directory Interface, etc. Job Description : The City is implementing PeopleSoft HCM 9 and Financials 9 on an Oracle and RedHat platform. The project has entered the development phase. The Consultant in this role will report to the Technical Manager and provide hands-on expertise in designing and developing complex PeopleSoft solutions. Experience : Provide expert hands-on application design, development, unit test, and tuning services on the PeopleSoft HCM/ HRMS project. . Provide technical design, development, and troubleshooting guidance and knowledge to City resources and consultants. . Work productively and collaboratively with cross-functional, multi-vendor resources under tight timelines. . Undertake peer review of design and code. . Design and develop solutions for conversion, integration, custom and customized online and batch objects and processes, security, workflow, reports, etc. . Provide excellent techno-functional expertise to technical and functional team members in resolving issues and in designing and developing solutions. . Provide hands-on expertise in optimizing code for performance. . Develop unit test use cases, test plans, test scripts, etc. and execute and validate the results. . Quickly gain working knowledge of City's processes and standards as well as of non-PeopleSoft software used on the project. . Conform to the project's design, development, testing, and change management standards and processes. . Take ownership for assigned tasks until final resolution is achieved. . Maintain a high degree of professionalism in verbal and written communications as well as in inter-personal interactions. . Execute related tasks as assigned by the Technical Manager. .
