*It is also desirable that the individual in this role have a strong
vertical knowledge of industry based solutions used within the healthcare
plan industry as well strong knowledge of the Pega Health Care and Customer
Service Frameworks in addition to experience in the best practiced for
integrated solutions. *
*Skills and Knowledge *
*Excellent understanding of the application and Pega Solution frameworks
.Good knowledge of business and information and state of the art solutions
used within the
Healthcare Industry
*
*Strong understanding of Services Oriented Architecture concepts, patterns
and principles*
· *Good understanding of modeling tools and concepts and
capabilities such as those associated with workflow, business process
automation, and business rules automation*
· *Ability to see common patterns and usages among multiple
application areas parsing out specifics versus general requirements to drive
to common solution base*
· *Ability to understand the long-tern ("big picture") and short
term implications of individual decisions *
· *Strong capabilities to "think out of the box", providing
innovative solutions to complex problems/issues *
· *Good process and methodology understanding of software
development, deployment, associated workflows and roles/responsibilities*
*· **Understanding of multi-tier application architectures,
performance and scalability of applications, *

· *Basic familiarity with enterprise integration connectors in Pega
and IBM Websphere toolsets*
* *
*Experience *
*10-15 years experience in analysis, design, development, and application
deployment of large scale Pega centric enterprise application systems *
*5-8 years experience in leading application teams in developing
applications working as a team design lead, technical or project architect*
*Experience in J2EE (JSP, Servlets, EJB, XML, Java) and Oracle*
*Experience in Websphere web and middleware tools such as MQ*
*Strong OO experience*
*Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical
Engineering*
*Working Relationships *
*Reports to Pega Project, IS or Business Leads*
*Integrated as part of Pega Solution Project team*
*Has close relationships to Business, Project Teams, and IS Management*
