To proactively monitor the database systems to ensure secure services with minimum downtime Responsible for providing trend analysis to management team to enable them to make informed decisions regarding resource management and availability of the systems Responsible for troubleshooting and problem solving of SQL Server databases on Wintel platforms Responsible for improvement and maintenance of the databases to include rollout and upgrades. Responsible for implementation and release of database changes to support the application development teams in both the lower tiers and production environments Able to work independently and collaboratively across multiple teams (development, administrators, support center, etc) *Skills / Attributes Required* In depth SQL Server Database Administration experience is a must Experience of managing multiple MS SQL 2000 and 2005 databases for large systems Strong self-sufficiency and initiative working on Database projects Practical experience in monitoring and tuning a database to provide high availability Experience of Transactional SQL, and DTS stored procedures and clustering is a plus.
