This is a Database Developer. Not operational DBA. TSQL is critical. Data Modeling is critical. Index tuning is very important. Application development is a plus. BizTalk is not a must. Purpose of Job: As a career professional, performs senior level database application design and development. Responsible for managing the complete life-cycle of development projects. Define, develop, implement, and champion development standards and governances across departments. 1. Gather requirements, design, and architect database applications. 2. Proven history of effectively managing a development project by minimizing scope creep, risks, and issues while adhering to a defined company project methodology. 3. Deliver multiple small development projects on time and within budget. 4. Manage complete software life-cycle for complex or high-risk components. 5. Ability to lead a team (3-5 people) of developers through all phases of the development life-cycle; project requirements, analysis, design, development, testing, and deployment. 6. Adheres and enforces standards for software development Associated Duties (Things done infrequently or that are not essential) - Performs other duties as assigned. - Define, develop, implement, and champion development standards and governances across corporate departments. -Mentoring of other employees both in IT and in the user community. - Development of technical project plans. - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent work experience. - 10+ years of database design and development experience. - SQL Server 2000/2005 administration and development. - SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS) - Database modeling; logical and physical. - BizTalk Server 2003/2006 - VB.NET or C#.NET development experience. - General experience with Microsoft Office tools. -Ability to work with minimal supervision and to communicate clearly with all levels of the user community. - Cobol development experience is a plus.
