Please don’t send me profile if not exact match.* *Position: QA TESTER/ANALYST *** *Location: BRIDGEPORT, CT **(May require face to face after telephonic.)*** *Duration: 4+ MONTHS* *Rate: $30-32/Hr* *Technical Knowledge:* Quick Test Pro; Quality Assurance Analyst; MS Office; MS Project; Mercury Suite; Test Plans; Test Scripts; VB Script; Visual Basic; Windows XP *Job Description:* -Create & execute user acceptance test plans and test scripts. -Design & execute user acceptance test scenarios and cases. -Log software, hardware and product defects using issue tracking tools (Test Director). -Perform screen-based testing: verify that individual application screens are performing correctly; ensure that the flow of information and data entry is logical and correct based on the application 's business requirements; verify that new functionality added to an existing screen has not adversely affected the existing functionality on that screen. -Perform business-process testing: ensure that all business related functions and processes are supported by the application: ensure that the flow of data and screens is logical for each business process; ensure that security and access requirements are met; test the application with "real" scenarios; test all batch processes; test for performance related problems, test the application's interfaces with other mission-critical systems. -Review test case results thoroughly before logging a defect. -Produce supporting documentation such as window/screen prints and reports (if applicable) as requested, to assist defect resolution. -Assist in prioritizing defects to be fixed using an understanding of the business requirements and the needs of the business. -Retest the fixed issue including regression testing if necessary. -Co-ordinate with the training department for user training and creation of business procedures and job aids for the new application. -Escalate issues to Acceptance Manager to provide resolutions for UAT defects.
