Knowledge of internals is a plus. * Expert knowledge of relational databases, including schema design, advanced queries and building stored procedures. * Experience with Open-Source Technologies required(e.g.: Jakarta Commons, struts, tiles). * Excellent time management skills and ability to take responsibility for deliverables * Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to create new proof of concepts and implement them into usable, enterprise class applications/components. * Must be able to effectively communicate technical information to both technical and non-technical personnel. * Sun Java Certification is a plus. * Experience programming with JPOS devices is a plus. Responsibilities: * Design and implement new functionality using J2EE technologies. * Debug/Support existing J2EE applications. * Provide guidance, leadership and mentoring to peers and less experienced team members. * Work in a fast paced, test-driven collaborative and iterative programming environment. * Follow company software development processes and standards.
