DB2 DBA SME to work as within the Production Environment of the global data warehousing environment responsible for a number of applications based on IBM DB2 databases. . Working as a DBA (Database Administrator) will require the successful candidate to write stored procedures as required by new applications added to the DB2 database environment; provide general maintenance to the environment: housekeeping, health checks and optimizations along with process improvements and other ad-hoc project work. . Ideal candidate should also possess strong DB2 UDB data replication server skills with production support experience in a global environment. . Responsibilities include ongoing system administration, configuring, managing, performance tuning and troubleshooting. . Experience required in scripting languages like shell/perl/java/php is highly desirable. . Proven ability to evaluate client specifications, design all databases necessary to complete client requests and provide technical guidance to other members of a project team. .
