* MUST possess excellent technical and analytical skills.
* MUST HAVE 5 years Progress 4GL;
* 3 years VMS scripting;
* 2 years Dispatch1 version 6.0.
* **Absolutely no exceptions can be made.**
Job Description:
* Participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle
(SDLC)
* Gather business/user requirements; design systems specifications;
adjust project scope as needed to meet delivery deadline; proactively
communicate any issues and obstacles that impact planned deadlines and
develop workable solutions; develop test plans and conduct quality checks
and user acceptance testing (UAT) and SIT; ensure proper documentation is
kept at all times
Responsibilities:
. Works on projects with a large scope and great technical
complexity.
. Resolves a wide variety of problems ranging from simple to highly
complex.
. Incumbent handles non-routine issues by following policy or
precedent.
. Requires a high degree of judgment and discretion to select the
appropriate method or technique and to interpret applicable operating
policies and practices.
. Normally, receives general work instructions on non-routine work
assignments.
. Requires additional instructions and guidance on more complex or
new assignments.
. Decisions are made independently. Assigned multiple projects are
generally reviewed after completion.
. Contact is typically coordinative in nature and involves
exchanging detailed technical information.
. May deal with both internal and external contacts.
. Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge in job-related functional
area and of the business.
