Title: SAP Tester
Location - San Dimas, CA
Duration: 6 months
Rate: $45/hr (Max)
Description:
The testing consultant is directly responsible for timely testing and
certification of company products. The following are the primary
responsibilities for this position:
Essential Functions:
§ Develop test scripts using HP Mercury Quality Center
§ Develop batch level test data on the mainframe using TSO
§ Perform various kinds of Black Box testing
§ Execute tests and document detailed results
§ Provide detailed analysis for problem resolution
§ Report and track defects using HP Mercury Quality Center. Work with
developers & technical support to assist in their resolution
§ Ability to work independently
§ Effectively prioritizes and organizes work to get results and meet due
dates and deadlines. Informs others when problems occur or when commitments
cannot be met as planned
§ Responsible for the generation and accuracy of all QA documents as
assigned
§ Demonstrates good judgment by using effective approaches for choosing
a course of action; takes action that is consistent with available facts,
constraints, and probable consequences
Qualifications:
§ 5+ years prior testing experience with any of the following SAP
Modules FI/GL, BCA, CD, CM
§ 5+ years prior testing experience with SAP module BI/BW
§ Prior testing experience in a financial environment
§ 1-3 Years experience testing mainframe online and batch applications
is a plus
§ CSTE Certified is Preferred
§ Ability to use the Verification and Validation testing methodology or
equivalent in industry testing methodology
§ Ability to use HP Mercury Quality Center
§ Ability to proficiently use all Microsoft productivity tools (ex.
Word, Excel, MS Project, and PowerPoint)
§ Ability to work with and understand multiple business applications
§ BA/BS in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience
Technology:
§ Good understanding of many technologies relevant to our product lines,
including:
o SAP, Java, JavaScript, HTTP and other internet protocols
o Major User Interface technologies: html, dhtml, JavaScript, Windows
o Databases: DB2, Oracle, SQLServer
o Programming Languages: C/C++, VB, Java, Perl, SQL
