Currently looking to fill a CONTRACT position of *Software Distribution
Engineer II *to work with us at the our existing client project.
Role: *Software Distribution Engineer
II - Novell *
* ZENWorks tool,Wise Packaging Studio*
Location: *NJ *
Duration: *6 + months*

*Responsibilities:
*
Primarily responsible for the *deployment, or packaging, and support of
packaged software applications*, via Novell ZENWorks tools and Wise
Packaging Studio Professional
Application-Object design, creation, management and support utilizing Novell
ZENWorks (Desktop & Server)
Documentation of troubleshooting & issue resolution, work-arounds,
preventative measures, knowledge-base creation & management, along with
strategic planning.
Strategic planning, scheduling, and tracking of software distributions
Application packaging using Wise Packaging Studio, following company
standards and industry best practices
Support of business users in both testing and production environments,
including packaging of applications and/or distribution & management of
application objects to testing environment(s)
Occasional support related travel may be required
Qualifications:
Related college degree or 3-5 years experience with software distribution,
and supporting a Desktop Management solution including PC
HW/SW troubleshooting,
3-5 years experience repackaging software for Windows OSes
Experience working in a mixed Microsoft/Novell NOS environment.
Advanced knowledge of Windows XP
Ability to work both independently and on a team
Self starter with attention to detail
Strong troubleshooting skills (Windows OS, Netware 4.x-6.x, and general
application troubleshooting)
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Firm knowledge & experience with Novell ZENWorks or application repackaging
for Windows OSes, including industry best-practices
Must be experienced application packager. Experience with WisePackaging
Studio v5x or higher preferred.
