Web Content Specialist local to Boston
Duration :* 3 month
*Location *:  Boston MA
*Rate : *$30/hr, and must be available for a face to face.

The consultant will work with the Secretariat senior staff to develop
internal and external communications strategies for using information
technology  - intranet and internet websites including but not limited to
creating a contacts database, custom e-mail distribution lists, and
developing web content.

*Duties*
Maintain web content so that it is current and accurate. Update, revise, or
remove content in a timely manner. Develop content maintenance schedules.
Develop standards and best practices for content development and web
publishing.
Thorough understanding of web content publishing best practices.
Thorough understanding and demonstrated proficiency in writing user-focused
web content.
Coordinate with agency staff to obtain up-to-date content; ensure that
content accurately, consistently and clearly presents necessary information.
Understand and make effective use of the suite of tools that make up the
Mass.Gov portal infrastructure including Vignette and Interwoven Teamsite
content management solution.

*Qualifications: *
Minimum of two years experience in an information technology area including
web content publishing experience.
Minimum of three years experience in business analysis, project management
and content development.
Previous experience in e-government or e-commerce programs.
Relevant knowledge and experience in a web-related discipline such as
writing for the web or web information architecture.
Strong organizational skills. Excellent written, verbal and presentation
skills, Office, Internet and e-mail skills.
Exposure to marketing and customer service.
Strong organizational skills, including ability to handle conflicting
priorities and complex projects.
Ability to manage complex work flows, multi-task under pressure and on
deadline.
Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills, MS Office, Internet and
e-mail skills
