Loc: Washington DC Duration: Long Term *Preferably US citizens and Green Cards.* *Candidate should have minimum 8 years of experience in developing applications on the UNIX (preferably Solaris) platform using C, C++, shell, Sybase and oracle. Candidate should have at least **5** **years experience working in the Summit environment** using the Summit API in the Unix environment. Must have a minimal understanding of Fixed Income and Derivate products. * The candidate needs to be familiar with the windows based development tools (MS-Access, ODBC), Markup language (HTML, XML), source management tools (SCCS), Reporting tools (SQR) and the software development life cycle. Additionally candidate should have financial knowledge and should have prior experience working with the financial applications. Candidate should be able to translate the high level business requirements in to detailed specifications before development. Candidate should have excellent knowledge of RDBMS concepts, particularly Sybase and Oracle. Candidate must be able to multi task with their workload and assignments. Candidates must be fluent in spoken and written English, have strong writing and communication skills, and be team players. The candidate is needed to work on the new projects and enhancements related to Summit application. The candidate should be able to quickly understand the Summit implementation at client side and participate in the ongoing development and testing effort required for the installation of Summit STP module. The candidate will be required to co-ordinate with the users, various technical teams and DBA/SA related to support or upgrades. Should be able to translate the high-level functional requirements in to IT deliverables. Work closely with the business users for gathering the requirements. Will need to perform enhancements to meet user requirements and complete such work in a timely manner as agreed to with the user group. Promptly escalate issues to the client managers to ensure resolution.
