Requirement: *SAS Report Developer*
Location: Bridgeport, CT – May require f2f after telephonic.
Duration: 2 months
Rate: $40-43/hr C2C all inclusive
Report Developer with 5-10 years of experience to support information
delivery and report development. Strong proficiency in *SAS, SQL and MS
Reporting Services* needed to develop reports and data extracts for *RBS
Card Services (Credit Card Division),* as part of data warehouse / reporting
team. Good analytical, problem-solving and communications skills are
required. This position has considerable contact with internal customers to
define/confirm information requirements and develop detailed business
requirements, recommend the appropriate method for implementation based on
technical direction of IM Team, and review work products. Fast-paced work
environment; resource will be working on several reporting projects in
parallel.
· Expert knowledge of Transact-SQL and SAS as a reporting
tool
· Expert in addressing query performance and modifying
application code to remedy performance problems
· Experience developing reporting components (models,
scheduling) using Microsoft Reporting Services Product Suite for Self
Service
· Experience in analyzing and interpreting information
requirements and designing reports
· Test case design, performing testing and validation of
logic and financial metrics
· Coding to departmental standards;
· Presenting and reviewing work with peers and business
line personnel
· Significant experience resolving data quality assurance
issues in connection with information delivery and development tasks
· Demonstrated experience in using relational data
architecture and reporting tools to design and develop reports to meet
specifications.
· Communicate directly with other data warehouse team
members including business analysts, data modelers, business clients and
warehouse developers to confirm requirements and clarify business rules as
they are converted into application code.
· Review business requirement and project initiation
documents and personally author functional and/or technical specifications
as required.
· Act as project lead to develop reporting solutions for a
wide variety of business intelligence and operational data warehouse
projects.
· Contribute to project plans and provide status updates or
task estimates to project manager(s) leading warehouse development
projects.
· Take ownership of assigned project issues and coordinate
through to resolution.
· Communicate proactively and frequently with all project
team members throughout the project lifecycle.
Beneficial or plus experience
· Knowledge of data warehouse architectural concepts along
with data warehouse production support experience.
· Knowledge of Credit Card or Retail Financial Services
industry is a plus.
Experience with generating or using summary data for integration with OLAP
tools a plus
