* * *Location : Shanghai, China* *Duration : 9 months* Project / Need - We are looking for a strong subject matter expert and leading analyst to support the implementation of Portfolio Accounting. The new portfolio accounting package will come from the following candidates - PAM for Securities, Eagle Star, Sungard Asset Arena GP3, DSTi HiPortfolio. The analyst should have an understanding of IFRS (which is the basis for Chinese GAAP) and accounting for securities firms. The analyst needs to have the ability to give guidance on accounting processes and formation of requirements during package implementation. Preferably the candidate has the ability to work in Mandarin (speak, read, write) but for the right candidate, accommodations could occur. A candidate that has worked in Insurance AMC would be a great fit, but accounting from a hedge fund or securities company is also acceptable. Candidate should have a minimum of a Masters Degree (MBA Finance or Accountancy) or professional certification (CPA, CFA, etc The client is primarily trading in: Equities, Fixed Income, Interest Rate Swaps, FX, Structured Bank Deposits, warrants, convertibles, etc. However, as the CIRC regulations change, the client will look to move into the white space created by a regulatory change.
