The position is to be filled as soon as candidate passes drug screen and background check. This is a contract position and will be 6 months and extendable. General Description This position supports the Billing and Receivable Management system for the deregulated consumer natural gas and electricity markets. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following: * Provide prompt response to problem tickets; design, code and testing of new enhancements; daily monitoring of system stability. * Provide all operational support during monthly billing processes including necessary audit reports and supporting data to our customer solutions group. The applications to be supported include Lodestar and Readi. * Analyze specific business and data situations, determine root cause, suggest appropriate solutions, and implement those solutions if necessary. * Work on system enhancement and small project development efforts as opportunities arise. Participate in an on-call rotation for application support during non business hours. * Perform all job functions within the established internal controls framework for the area, including the key controls identified for Sarbanes-Oxley compliance. Ensure that any known internal control problems/issues/concerns are identified and communicated on a timely basis to immediate supervisor. * Perform other responsibilities as assigned or required. Work Experience Requirements * Minimum 1 year related experience * Experience in several of the following is highly valued: * Lodestar * SQL * EDI * Oracle * Visual Basic * Access * Energy market experience is preferred INTERPERSONAL SKILLS * Dedication to meet the customer's requirements and expectations, taking ownership of problems and respond in a proactive manner where appropriate * Good consultancy skills and customer service orientation * Ability to work under pressure and meet deadline requirements with quality intact * Analyze complex business processes * Develop innovative change strategies * Engage and maintain business relationships * Communicate in a highly effective manner both written and spoken * Strong commitment to teamwork and sharing knowledge/experiences for the benefit of the team and service - Takes initiative to improve service delivery and team performance.
