*Need: QA Analyst with Accounting background*
*Location: Jersey City, NJ {Need Locals}*
*Duration: 3 months*
*Max Rate: $35/hr Max*

LARGE INSURANCE OR FINANCIAL COMPANIES AND MUST HAVE EITHER SOME BUSINESS
ANALYSIS OR ACCOUNTING EXPERIENCE. This position is with Capital Markets
Plans, develops, and executes various components of system testing and/or
quality assurance. Approaches testing and quality assurance from a business
point of view by creating test scripts and scenarios to ensure delivered
functionality meets the business need. Develops specific test conditions and
expected results for regression, functionality, and stress testing. Provides
daily guidance to the testing efforts of the application project teams.
Reviews product requirements and design specifications to create a QA test
plan. Executes test scripts to validate test cases. Creates QA test
procedures to assure accurate and repeatable test results. Creates test
estimates from design documentation and creates quality assurance project
schedules. Creates documents to apprise project team members as to the
status of meeting defined quality goals. These may include: QA Status
Report, QA Summary Reports, QA Test Logs, Maintain issue and defect
databases. Conducts defect review and status review meetings. Provides
quality assurance feedback throughout the project life cycle. Provides
status reports to project business owner
- Solid quality assurance background required, 3 to 5 years in a dedicated
QA role, experience with both process-driven SDLC and dynamic environments
is preferable
- Experience with Mercury Quality Center or similar defect and test
management systems, minimum 2 years experience with Quality Center
- Experience with requirements analysis for QA and test planning
- Hands-on experience with test case creation and execution
- Some exposure to test automation tools and strategy is desirable but not
required
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Solid general understanding of software technologies and systems
architecture desirable
- Business analysis or accounting background also required
