Please don’t send the resume if your consultant is not a fit for the position. *Description:* * * · Administering over 70 SQL Server 6.5, SQL Server 7.0, SQL Server 2000, and SQL Base mission critical production servers · Responsible for installing and configuring all new SQL Server and SQL Base database servers, as well as, completing upgrades, service packs, RTF’s and patch installations for SQL Server, SQL Base servers and Advantage Data Transformer. · Providing input on infrastructure and hardware requirements on project using MS SQOL Server Databases. · Setting up test and production environments for new production applications. Also responsible for deploying SQL Server applications to production. · Responsible for planning, documentation and setup of backup and maintenance of the databases. · Creating and maintaining linked servers, creating and scheduling DTS packages and jobs. · Setting up replications and monitoring it. Troubleshooting SQL Server and database related problems and participating in optimization and tuning database applications. · Creating scripts for Advanced Data Transfer (ETL tool by CA) used for moving and transforming data between sources including SQL Server databases, Oracle databases, DB2 databases, Mainframe, and text files. · Capacity planning, performance tuning, setting up SQL Mail, securing server and databases by controlling user permissions. · Writing stored procedures and triggers. · Importing and exporting database objects.
