Position: Oracle Enterprise Linux within Oracle VM's Duration: 3 Months, Location: Central US Primary Skills: and oracle 11g database consultant needed Description: Oracle Enterprise Linux within Oracle VM's and oracle 11g database consultant needed Job Descrip: I have a customer that needs an Oracle resource for a minimum of 3 months. Below are the specs the resource needs to have. The key items I am needing is someone with a strong background with Oracle VM (OVM), Oracle Enterprise Linux or Redhat Linux and oracle 11g database. In addition it would be very helpful if they had experience working with and installing Control M. There is very little actual development work or database changes we can make for this application but we do have the ability to relay any possible problems we may see back to our parent company in France to see if they can duplicate and resolve the problems. The key items this person will be doing is building new VM instances, cloning the existing instances and reconfiguring for the new servers, Importing/exporting data between instances, applying any patches and releases for the software as they are supplied and working closely with the team here as questions about performance and any general requests may arise and possibly writing some basic shell scripts. The entire system is running on Oracle Enterprise Linux within Oracle VM's. The backend database is Oracle 11g and the application server is WebLogic. Currently I am looking at needing someone for at least 3 months and possibly longer depending on how the project progresses. We are not scheduled to go live on this new system until early next year so the remainder of this year will be testing, data conversion and user validation. >From what I have done with the project so far I think someone with 5 - 7 years of experience working with Oracle DB and Linux, and at least 2 year or OVM could do what is required.
