Not like a PM, but just the ability to use a template to fill in tasks. This is a very remedial task - Must be Proactive - think 2 steps ahead. - Experience with ACE Load Balancing – ACE was a new technology when we were originally recruiting the spot in October and still may be difficult to find – don’t rule out candidates that do not have it. - Although ACE is a must have, if they’ve worked with competitor products such as, Cisco CSS Load Balancer, F5 BigIP, or Cisco CSM, I will still market these candidates to the client. - Strong troubleshooting skills in complex policy based routing, not just on the web server, but also on PVLANS and BGP. - Experience with adding applications to policy based routing architecture - Must have firewall experience, they use Checkpoint, but ASA or PIX would be fine. - Experience with Internet Load Balancing BETWEEN THE 2 CISCO ENGINEERS – THEY MUST BACK EACH OTHER UP – NIGHTS/HOLIDAYS/WEEKENDS ON A ROTATIONAL BASIS - Juniper security products (e.g. Juniper SSG, SA, IDP) - Security products Complex Cisco network environments - Must understand Infrastructure Architecture, which consists of Secure Gateway. The resource is required to be onsite during office hours and on standby during off hours Candidates must be able to understand, analyze and solve network, network security and application related incidents and problems in a complex, business critical, multi-platform network environment containing load balancing, content switching and high sophisticated security concepts under high time pressure as well as consult application developers in order to migrate new or existing applications into the border-gateway. Candidates will be required to work closely together in a team with 1st, 2nd and 3rd Level operations staff. Candidates will be the main interface to external 3rd Level and Vendor support teams. Candidates should be familiar with ITIL and must be proficient in the English language, spoken and written. They will be expected to participate in Daimler processes, trouble ticket system, review/writing of documentations and reports. Candidates will also be required to work with other IT support areas to provide maximum performance and conform to corporate and industry standards.
