description is below. We would start with a 6 month contract and

Job Description
The primary job responsibilities are to support activities of an
enterprise-wide data migration. Incumbent must be able to implement
processes, procedures and policies on server platforms. Individual
must be proficient in the installation, maintenance, and
troubleshooting of Windows 2000/2003 R2 Server, its commands and
utilities. Incumbent must be familiar with all system administration
tools and processes. The individual is expected to have a working
knowledge of networking technologies, SAN administration and operating
system security as well as an understanding of an enterprise change
management methodology, processes, and its utilization for
implementing and tracking changes to automation systems. Strong
communication skills, both oral and written will be required. The
individual must also possess the ability to work with minimal
direction, and desire to seek clarification when issues are
encountered.
Key Activities
• Travelling to key locations to interact with local personnel
to effect a smooth transfer of knowledge, minimize the local
preparation needed, and ensure a successful and timely migration of
users to the new infrastructure.
• Ensure monitoring of the storage infrastructure is validated
in the enterprise management and reporting tools
• Implement, develop and modify existing and new scripts and
methods to address data migration needs. Robocopy scripting knowledge
is desirable.
• Be able to understand and manage NTFS permissions, including
inheritance, ownership and the affects they have on a file system.
• Be able to manage DFS through GUI and/or commandline
• Interact with the ESX support team and/or perform
storage-related activities in VirtualCenter/vSphere
4. Requirements
• At least one year to three years experience with network
administration and user support
• Server Operating System Administration certification preferred
• Position requires frequent weekend or evening hours and
significant amounts of travel
• Good working knowledge of multiple hardware/software
platforms and applications
• Written sample of a technical concept communicated to a
non-technical audience
