Job Responsibilities: * Participate in the architecture, design, and development of platform software, especially in the area of management plane specially CLI, SNMP, LDAP, Security, AAA, Netconf, Management console. * Defines, directs and participates in the verification testing of new products. * Ensure all software engineering projects, initiatives, and processes are in conformance with organization's established policies and objectives. * Consult with internal cross-functional units for definition and design of product requirements. * Interface cross-functionally and collaborate extending beyond work group. * Exercise considerable latitude in determining technical objectives of assignment. * Resolve conflicts by fostering team communications. * Translate BU level goals into own work assignments. Job requirements: The successful applicant must have a proven track record of bringing products to market, and should possess the following particular skills and experience: * 10+ years of experience working as a Software Engineer with a hi-tech company * C, C++ programming skills * Experience on management plane architecture and design on distributed systems. Complete understanding of CLI, SNMP, LDAP, AAA, Netconf and management GUI. * Experience with high availability platform development * Embedded experience with RTOS and/or real-time Linux * Familiar with object oriented design methodology * ATCA experience highly desirable * Strong analytical and trouble-shooting skills * Good communication skills (written and verbal). * Familiar with Clearcase or other SCM systems * Strong team player Education * Requires BSEE or equivalent training with 10+ yrs related exp.
