Experience developing applications which use relational databases is required. Experience with user interface design is desirable, but not required. Work both independently and as a team member in support of all applications for a small state agency. Must be able to follow technical specs for application development - but must also possess the skills to perform independent analysis and challenge those specs if a better solution is found. Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal - are required. Must be able to work effectively with both technical staff and non-technical user community, providing user assistance and training as needed. Perform requirements gathering, analysis and design as needed. Four year college degree or equivalent technical study preferred. Total relevant work experience is 5 years, minimum. Manager will conduct only in-person interviews.
