Location: LA Duration: 6-8 Months *B2B GIS Sr Developer/Admin –* - Responsible for best practices implementation, day-to-day performance and support of mission critical applications and technologies. - The candidate must have the ability to problem solve and perform root cause analysis using an analytical method and/or logs. - Analyze processes, recommend process improvement and write formal documentation. - Develop contacts and relationships with vendor support organizations. - Understand future directions and enhancements of assigned applications. - Define and lead the integration of assigned production systems with the appropriate enterprise systems. - Identify opportunities to eliminate significant amounts of ad hoc reporting requests by developing alternate strategies that give internal and external customers the ability to get the information they need without requesting ad hoc services from IT. - Must be available for on-call duties to provide reliable 24 x 7 supports. - Must be a highly organized and disciplined individual who fully understands the rigors of a 24 x 7 mission critical production environment and works well with multiple technical disciplines. - Must be a highly motivated, responsive individual that can work independently and demonstrate excellent communications and customer service skills. - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - comfortable presenting to a multi-disciplined technology group and must be able to communicate well with all IT disciplines as well as internal and external business users. - Demonstrated ability to take responsibility for a production system.Drive the root cause approach to problem solving *1.** **Skill required :*** - BS in Computer Science or equivalent work-related experience with Minimum of 5 years experience - High level of expertise in the implementation and support of business applications - Working knowledge/experience in Unix, Unix Scripting, Linux, Windows operating environment. - Expertise with Gentran Integration Suite- preferably 1-2 years experience , FTP, SFTP, FTPS protocols, EDI, Sterling Map editor, Sterling Graphical Process Modeler, EDI, xml - Experience with process documentation and process documentation tools (such as Visio) ** - Experience in the installation, upgrade/patches, configuration, maintenance along with production support in GIS Suite Regards Shiv Javaji System Solutions Inc.
