*POSITION : Sr. Oracle Database Administrator LOCATION : New York LENGTH : 6 Months Contract * *Required Qualifications:* 10+ years experience supporting Peoplesoft applications and has strong SQL tuning skills. Strong background in performance and tuning of very complex Peoplesoft SQL. Experience with Oracle 10G, Peoplesoft application and architecture, Oracle procedures, RMAN, AIX Shell scripting, database tuning, and configuration. Experience with Oracle GRID, RAC, Oracle Transparent Gateway, EMC Symmetrics, Netbackup, BCVs and Mainframe DB2 would be a plus. Individual will be required to provide production 24/7 coverage on rotating shift and support weekend implementations. *Preferred Qualifications: *Working with an enterprise wide, large scale implementation Experience working with PeopleSoft Implementations in a government or civil service environment.
