General Description:
The position of Sr MicroStrategy Consultant is for an IT professional that has
5+ years experience in the design and development and implementation of
dashboards, reports and project design with MicroStrategy 8i. The applicant
should also have an in-depth knowledge of relational data bases such as Oracle
9i, OLAP and data access/front-end tools such as Oracle (PL SQL), Access, Excel
VBA and Crystal.

Qualifications:
1. 5+ years Hands-on experience with the following MicroStrategy 8i components:
Architect Desktop, Schema Objects, MicroStrategy Administrator, OLAP Services,
BI Developer Kit, Intelligence Server, Object manager, Narrowcast Server,
Report Services and Web - MUST
2. Experience with MicroStrategy 8i - Dynamic Dashboard, Report development and
project design: Facts, Attributes, Hierarchies, Aggregation, etc. - MUST
3. Experience with MicroStrategy 8i - Report Services dynamic dashboards
development - MUST
4. Experience in configuring, governing, trouble shooting and tuning
Intelligence Server, Web Server and NarrowCast Server is a MUST.
5. The candidate must also have experience on MicroStrategy Security
Administration with exposure to administering large number of users and groups
with security filters. - MUST
6. Good understanding of relational structures, dimensional data modeling,
Structured Query Language (SQL) skills, Data Warehouse and reporting
techniques. - MUST
7. 3-4 years experience using SQL with a relational DBMS such as Oracle or MS
SQL Server.
8. In depth experience with client server applications and architectures - MUST
9. Experience working with the full life cycle development process, which
includes analysis, design, construction, and testing - MUST
10. MicroStrategy Certification - PREFERRED
11. Experience with the Web/ASP/HTML programming language a - PLUS.
12 .Proficiency with the Windows Server a MUST and UNIX (Sun Solaris) operating
systems a PLUS
13. Excellent Written and Verbal communication skills with the ability to
interact with senior business and technical IT management - MUST
14 .Strong Analytical and problem solving abilities - MUST
15. General experience with business applications in the areas of supply chain
management and production control - PREFERRED
Bachelor's Degree. (Computer Science preferred) - PREFERRED
