Please respond to [email protected] Position: Oracle DBA Location: Plano, TX Duration: 6+ Months Required only Locals Responsible for the support, tuning, administration and development of transactional and analytical data constructs/structures. Included within those responsibilities are the areas of data access and delivery technologies. Primary database is Oracle on AIX-Unix, knowledge of other database technologies such as SQL Server and DB2 a plus. Duties include performance tuning, monitoring, software installs and upgrades, UNIX shell scripting, and physical and logical database design. Some Oracle databases are very large, with a minimum size of 500 GB and 1000 users. Familiarity with ETL Tools like AbInitio, DataStage, Informatica, etc. Familiarity with Web Applications. Hands on experience with Microsoft Windows XP or higher version. Hands on experience with Microsoft Office Word and Excel. a.. Oracle Database Administration experience 5+ years (very large environment) b.. Financial Services Experience 3+ years Experience c.. Knowledge of other Oracle advanced features (RMAN, RAC, fail over methodologies) d.. Works independently e.. Familiarity with other data bases, ETL tools, web applications and or other programming languages f.. COF Experience - Desired but not required g.. Develops advanced domain specific technology solutions and guides their development into a final product h.. ETL experience in implementation and design i.. Ability to effectively communicate across multiple levels (Executive Sponsors to team members). j..
