Please respond to [email protected] Title: Oracle Transparent Gateway Consultant (Technical) Project Location: Can Work Remotely Duration: 3 months Experience: Senior Description: Need Resource to configure the Oracle Transparent Gateway to communicate with a 65535 DRDA server on the IBM iSeries AS400. The gateway is used to push orders (data that is updated via web apps into Oracle) down to the DRDA servers via SQL scripts. Additionally, data is retrieved in a number of ways,but mostly by using Material Views of data that are read only tables in Oracle. Review Oracle Transparent Gateway configuration, existing Oracle National Language (NLS), settings, database character sets, the Solaris operating system environment, client applications, and its iSeries based systems. Review issues with incorporation of support for the UTF-8 character set into the existing environment Provide assistance with troubleshooting the use of Oracle's "Oracle Database Gateway for DRDA" product and its interface with a 65535 coded character set identifier (CCSID) database on iSeries platform Provide assistance with troubleshooting NLS settings at the database, operating system, gateway, and application layers of the environment Provide additional recommendations and troubleshooting assistance regarding overall strategy for Oracle Database Gateway and NLS implementation Thanks & Regards, Joel Garner Technical Recruiter Data Group, Inc.
