Responsibilities will include DBMS installation, sizing, and building data bases and tables, monitoring, tuning, and performance management of the DB environment, definition with client and day-shift groups, implementing off-shift main work when necessary to meet team objectives, and providing comprehensive turnover documentation to night team personnel when appropriate. QUALIFICATIONS: Oracle physical DBA expertise (minimum 3 years), SQL coding familiarity, UNIX environment familiarity and scripting skills, strong problem solving skills, strong interpersonal communication skills, self- directed with good organizing and planning skills, supportive of standards, must wear pager and participate in 24X7 support, must be willing to work off-shift when necessary, disciplined approach to performing job requirements, effective participant in a team environment and client-focused. Current practical experience with RMAN, PL/SQL, and Oracle Enterprise Manager, Oracle 9i/10 g, RAC, DataGuard/Standby, Streams, Grid Control, and DB performance tuning tools (Perfstat, AWR) is required.
