Job Description:

■ HTML, XML, TCP/IP, DNS, LDAP, firewalls and multi-tiered architectures.

■ Strong administrator experience

■ Knowledge of database design in SQL Server

■ Installation, configuration, architecture, monitoring, performance tuning, 
diagnosing, troubleshooting, supporting of Web Based Servers

■ Knowledge of J2EE technologies

■ Solid experience and skills in integrating IIS, Active Directory/LDAP (ADAM); 
SQL Server and .NET

■ Determine performance test scenarios, analyze performance test results and 
fine-tune environments

 

This initiative is ongoing and part of a Shared Services Technical Team 
supporting a global Portfolio with primary responsibility for Support and 
Maintenance of the technical infrastructure supporting the internal and 
external products in a multi-vendor product environment with primary focus on 
IBM and Microsoft products. 

 

Description of day to day tasks (please be as descriptive as possible)

■ Support and maintenance of servers including performance tuning:  IIS; SQL 
Server; .NET and virtual servers using VMWARE.

■ Serve as primary contact between Product Portfolio; Infrastructure Services 
Teams and Vendor where appropriate

■ Problem determination and resolution of technical issues or interacting 
vendor technical support. 

■ Work closely with developers to define and configured application Servers, 
Virtual Hosts, Web Applications, Web resources, Servlets,  

■ Administration of Working Application, Application performance monitoring 

■ Co-ordination with Database Admin. Team, Operations Staff;  to create 
databases for storing the Websphere application repository. 

■ Application deployment and rollout with solid understanding of the following 
concepts: HTML, XML, J2EE, Secure Sockets Layers, Secure Certificates, Load 
Balancing, Application Tuning, TCP/IP, DNS, Active Directory/LDAP, firewalls 
and multi-tiered architectures. 

■ Serves as the lead technical consultant responsible for design, engineering 
and development of Information Technology Solutions

■ Supports the design, analysis, development and implementation of engineering 
infrastructure solutions of projects/initiatives 

■ Responsibilities will include risk assessments, capacity planning and 
diagnostics/corrective measures]

 

Describe technical environment (.NET, Oracle, Websphere, etc.)

IIS, .NET; Virtual Servers utilizing VMWARE;   Active Directory/ADAM, SQL Server
