The FileNet System Administrator is production support for the entire
FileNet infrastructure.
* *
*Responsibilities include:* day-to-day technical and system support for a
fully-integrated FileNet workflow environment; Deploy system patches and
other software updates; track, analyze and resolve trouble tickets; 24x7
support, troubleshooting; working closely with the IBM/Filenet customer
Support center; performance and capacity management, assisting multiple
development teams, release management, and repository configuration; user,
group and document security administration; application and system
monitoring; change management; and documentation.
*Synopsis of Role*
• Strong Systems Administration skills for both FileNet Image Services and
P8.
.• Maintain high reliability, availability, and consistency for FileNet
infrastructure
Makes complex modifications to existing hardware/software to fit specialized
needs and configurations
• Maintains technical documentation.
May coordinate activities of the project team and assist in monitoring
project schedules and costs.
• Assist with resolution of FileNet first and second level support incidents
and problems tickets with users.
• Capable of complex problem solving and demonstrates strong technical
skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Exceptional problem-solving/analytical skills.
• Able to work independently and effectively in a demanding, complex,
multi-tier network environment.
*Experience Qualifications*
At least 5 years demonstrated administration experience in a FileNet
environment.
FileNet Certification a plus.
Experience with workflow and document management technologies.
Experience in administering and supporting distributed applications in
both Microsoft
and UNIX environments. Administrative Experience with the FileNet P8
components (Image Services, Content Engine, Process Engine, Application
Engine Familiarity with Database, J2EE technologies, MSAR and OSAR
technologies.
In addition to FileNet expertise, candidate must have a sufficient
understanding of Windows, AIX, Oracle, and WebSphere to perform basic
diagnostic tasks as well as communicate effectively with their respective
system administrators.
