Please respond to [email protected] Job Title: Network Tester Location: Morristown, NJ Duration: 6 Months Project Description: Integration System Test - Support System Test efforts and GFP releases Job Description: (What will the contractor do on that project?) System Test execution for GFP-IP, CPE INMS BMC Patrol and applications. Effort requires Excellent Network Management/Test skills. GFP Network Management System Test Engineer positions requires advanced knowledge of Network Management systems testing for multiple AT&T services, including end-to-end transport services, Frame Relay, ATM, Switched Ethernet networks & IP/MPLS/VPN technology. Work closely with developers and systems engineers to understand GFP fault management features and resolve defects uncovered during testing. Responsibilities include: develop test plans based on review of the functional requirement specifications, design test cases, maintain and execute test scripts, troubleshoot problems, perform root cause analysis, support production issues, deployment support, Pairwise and end-to-end system and performance testing. The candidate must have at least 5 years relevant experience, to start the job with a minimal learning curve. Previous experience in working with large networked applications and understanding their development complexities is a must. Expertise with quality assurance testing methodologies required. Must have network management test experience with Telco OSS, prefer layer 2/3 Frame, Atm, IP network switches and routers, Cisco, Juniper, Ciena, ADTRAN, strong understanding of XML. Must have SQL relational database (Informix/oracle), UNIX (prefer Solaris), tcp/ip, shell. Prefer c/c++, java, perl programming. Prefer telco work center fault mgmt operations experience with SNPM, HP-Openview, Transport/Frame/ATM/IP or Optical networks. Experience with test automation using Mercury Quick Test Pro or similar scripting tools would be a strong plus. Self-starter who works independently and is detail oriented. Candidate must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work with Systems Engineering, Development and cross organizational teams. AT&T experience preferred. Contractor will be expected to accurately enter time in CMPM.
