Responsible for high level technical design and development of applications using existing and emerging technology platforms. Provides technical supervision and drives project/service delivery. Documents design decisions, adheres to existing process guidelines, develops software components, mentors junior developers, supports QA during testing, and has oversight during implementation into production. Location is Richmond, VA. They may start with a phone screen, but there is a chance of a face to face after. Communication skills must be EXCELLENT. Qualifications: Technical: Data Warehousing - Concepts and Problem solving (problem analysis) ETL Tool - Ab Initio (preferred) alternatively any other tool UNIX - Mandatory Database - Good knowledge of database platforms (TERADATA is preferred) Ability to translate Systems requirements to Data requirements/ High level Design and Low Level design Process & Soft Skills: Ability to create checklist and processes to review design and code Define processes to ensure code quality Strong communication skills Ability to interface with multiple groups to understand how requirements from various channels can be incorporated into overall design workflow Ability to mentor the developers technically Optional: Analyze and understand Physical data models Ability to define Non Functional System Requirements - for an environment/application Thanks & Regards, Joel Garner J Technical Recruiter Data Group, Inc.
