These systems reduce the risk to the client in the application area by enforcing the restrictions for both our client-serving personnel's financial portfolios and the scope of services that the client can offer. The most difficult aspect of these systems is gaining an understanding of complex data and relationships related to publicly traded companies, their corporate "trees" and the securities they issue. Successful candidates working on this team have had some background in the financial services industry or professional services The application or technology that this candidate would work This PM will have responsibility for an application which consists of a number of tools developed in .NET and SQL Day to day tasks This person will be responsible for managing production support/enhancement work. They will manage a suite of applications of high complexity. 1. Manage development resources, approximately 4-5 developers 2. Work with product manager to understand the existing needs and future requirements and develop the processes for implementation and obtain approvals to move forward 3. Develop project plan to satisfy specific customer needs and achieve objectives. 4. Establish implementation timelines for specific projects/releases 5. Develop and use collaborative relationships across the IT departments to facilitate the accomplishment of the project plans 6. Manage multiple resources assigned to different applications 7. Monitor and report on progress toward project plans. 8. Handle contingencies and resolves problems appropriately, including emergency production issues as needed 9. Provide cost estimates for specific work; create Statements of Work as appropriate 10. Ensure timely completion of work, within budget and with high quality standards. 11. Create project documentation and manage the work order database 12. Manage the upgrades for a complex network infrastructure Technical environment: ASP.NET/ SQL 2005/ Web Services/XML Interfaces Technical Skills required for this position 5-7 years experience in Business specifications, RUP Software Development Methodology/or similar, Microsoft Project, Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, Visio PMI certified Project Manager (PMP) Soft Skills required for this position: Superior skills in Customer Interaction, Analytical, Verbal, Written, Work Plan development & management, Work estimating, Supervisory experience (of Developers), Executive presence Thanks & Regards, Joel Garner J Technical Recruiter Data Group, Inc.
