Face to Face is Must C# Winforms, GUI Developer Location: Stamford CT 6 Months Please read the attachment: basically the candidate needs to be a superstar in C# development and Winforms development, Environment: The role is in the IT Collateral team supporting the Fixed Income Repo (Collateral) business at client. The Collateral IT team is responsible for systems supporting pre-trade Repo pricing, automation of lending from the client custodial pool, position management as well as trade capture, processing and lifecycle management etc. The systems include the Martini client application, upstream trade and static data feeds and downstream trade, price, and other feeds, as well as our trade automation suite of applications. The team is based in London and Stamford, USA and is just over 30 people. In addition there is a Global Support team who provide 24*7 systems and user support. The IT group includes Project Managers, Business Analysts, developers and QA/testers. The developer will become an expert in the systems supporting the F2B business and will have an increasing role in new business initiatives, small change projects and delivering 3rd-level support for our production GSD team and the business. Role: Ø The role exists for a lead C# Winforms GUI developer on Collateral Portal, our next generation suite of trader tools Ø The work will involve: o Designing and establishing a simple GUI implementation framework to be used by other GUI developers in the team o The roll out of new GUI's providing realtime MIS reporting o Re-writing existing Java Swing GUIs to provide major enhancements o Passing knowledge onto less experienced members of the team Mandatory skills/knowledge: Ø Expert level experience in c# winforms GUI programming. Ø Extensive experience of developing using Syncfusion Essential Suite. Ø Experience of managing marketdata - the volume of data and its updates. Ø Experience of designing and implementing a GUI from scratch. Ø 5 or more year's experience of development at an Investment Bank or similar experience. Ø A motivated, inquisitive and innovative individual capable of assimilating the technical and business requirements desired by the trading and F2B community and developing solutions within the existing standards and frameworks. Ø Have an appreciation for the trading environment and applications required in the repo or similar business. Ø This role will require contact with a wide range of development team members and business representatives, the candidate must be confident and able to clearly discuss requirements and issues with all groups. Ø Capable of contributing to the delivery of high quality, high value change projects in a deadline-driven environment. Desirable skills/knowledge: Ø Experience of FI Repo trading systems. Ø Experience of the Agile development approach. Ø Knowledge of Spring and Hibernate Ø Database experience - knowledge of Oracle and Sybase, Unix and Perl scripting. Other: Ø This is an analysis and development role concentrating on Fixed Income Repo Trading and Trading Automation Systems. Ø This role is for a person who is capable of developing business-critical software in an environment that requires flexibility and high productivity. Ø Project duration will range from 1 week to 6 months. Ø A meaningful level of documentation will be required to support knowledge capture for the development team and GSD.
