Position : AS 400 DB2 DBA
Location : Wisconsin
Duration : 6-12 month contract
* Need someone from a large AS400 RPG shop who is an expert with DB2 on the AS
400.
* They need to write automated processes and be the lead admin.
* We have an IT staff augmentation opportunity for an DBA with AS/400 DB2
experience.
* The position start date is estimated as August 31, 2009.
* The length of the assignment is unknown at this time.
Specific Skills and/or Expertise:
Required
Expert with DDS defined files, including multi-format and join logicals
Expert in AS/400 (i Series, System i, Power i) DML and DDL
Expert with views, stored procedures, functions and triggers
Proficient with native triggers and RPG stored procedures and functions
Proficient in physical database design and understands logical data
model design
Able to work with minimal supervision and direction
Preferred
Experience with Computer Associates (CA) ERwin data modeler, MKS
Implementer version control application and database performance monitoring and
tuning on AS/400 systems.
Experience working in a group insurance payer environment
Heads up AS400 DB2 DBA – This is a replacement order for a contractor that WEA
hired perm. Looking to backfill. Have budget approved through end of ’09 with
either the possibility of extension or possibly CTH. This person will be
working some on the data remediation project, regular project work and
maintenance. Seeking local candidates first with outstanding communication
skills. Must have DBA experience with DB2 on the AS400. Insurance experience
