Following is the requirement details I have with my client, Let me
know if you are comfortable with required skills.


Position : SQL Server 2005 Developer
Location: Columbus-OH
Duration : 10 months



The ideal candidate(s) must have extensive development experience in
working with SQL Server and SQL Server Integration Services, be
innovative at arriving at solutions and be self motivated.


This project will require the selected candidate to create a process
to extract, modification / translation and transfer data to an
external party for hosting and storage of data.
The types of work the consultant will perform include:
• System Design Specifications for intended solution
• Technical evaluations, development estimates and product support
estimates
• Development of stored procedures and ETL processes
• Create and modify SSIS packages, as well as transport mechanism like
FTP
• Integration testing and code debugging
• User acceptance code fixes/debugging/minor upgrades
• Documentation of support solution
• Participation in application test plan development


The qualified candidate is required to have the following: Minimum
skills and experience:
• At least 10 years of IT experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to
quickly understand complex technical concepts and effectively convey
them to technical or non-technical co-workers.
• Minimum six (6) years hands-on development with SQL Server 2005 and
writing stored procedures for relational databases including SQL
Server 2005.
•      Minimum four (4) years experience creating and modifying SSIS
packages
• Minimum of two (2) years using version control/source storage
systems (EG: Visual Source Safe, Team Foundation Server).
•      Minimum of three (3) years creating middle layer application
services
• Minimum of three (3) years working with secure data transmission
methods
• Minimum of three (3) years creating ETL systems
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Experience with knowledge transfer. Clearly communicating technical
and functional requirements and processes to technical staff and/or
business staff.
• Works well in and supports a distributed team environment and is
adaptive to changes in methodologies and technologies.
• Strong business and systems analysis skills and experience with
numerous environments and architectures.

Preferred Database Administrator skills and experience:
• Thorough working knowledge of the entire Software Development Life
Cycle (SDLC), IT systems and processes, methodologies and their direct
implementation to projects.

•    Ability to understand, translate and document all business and
user requirements.
• Goals-oriented proactive team player with the demonstrated ability
to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced professional
environment.
• Critical thinker with excellent problem solving skills that can make
independent decisions within area of responsibility and expertise.

Other preferred requirements:
• Bachelors degree or higher in Computer Science or related fields.
