Position: Cygnet SCADA Support Analyst Location: Houston, TX Duration: 6+ Months Rate: BEST RATE (Lower the better) LOCALS to TX are given first preference.... Description of the work to be performed: This position is a user position that will support the functional implementation of the Cygnet SCADA system. Knowledge of gas control and other gas transmission operation processes are key skill requirements for this position. Basic technical knowledge and experience dealing with IT teams is also essential. The position reports to the Gas Control Project Manager Development and documentation of business processes Configuration and design of graphic interfaces Training and user testing of graphics, alarms Works with other departments/areas to define how the new Cygnet SCADA system will interact with other applications and/or users Interfaces in a professional manner with internal and external customers, whether through verbal, written, or interpersonal communication Competency / Experience Desired Level of Importance Level of Skill Bachelor's Degree in engineering, electronics, logistics or related technical field or the equivalent education and/or experience R I Experience in database applications and Visual Basic D I Experience in natural gas industry with a background in pipeline operations. D I Demonstrated ability to speak and write in a clear, concise, and organized manner. R S Previous control room and/or shift work experience. D I Demonstrated ability to effectively solve problems by using analytical skills to reach a logical conclusion. D S Understanding of Cygnet SCADA functions R S Demonstrative interpersonal skills within a "team" framework. D I Effective negotiation skills for interfacing with internal and external customers.
