Position: Oracle DBA Location: Albany, NY (Locals only) Duration: 6 months Candidate must have substantial experience with: --UNIX --Oracle 10g --Performing database creation; patching; bringing databases, listeners, and agents up and down -Creation of database objects (tables, indexes, keys, triggers, views); granting object permissions; database server installation and patching; database backup and recovery; database export/import; data pump; listener management; monitoring server performance; and performance tuning. --Managing an upgrade of an Oracle release. --Collecting and evaluating database performance statistics --Scheduling periodic jobs in support of Oracle databases (backups, statistics collection, log file clean-up, etc.). --Oracle db recovery utilities --Oracle Enterprise Manager 10g GRID --Explain Plan. --Installation of Oracle client, full and instant. --Writing SQL and PL/SQL. -- Cost Based Optimizer and Gather Stats. --UNIX-based utilities.
