Notes from the manager: 1. This is NOT a UI PHP developer, this is someone who will do more DEVELOPMENT (not consuming) of Web Services 2. PHP is the most important skill, but due to development role vs. UI role -XML, WSDL, XSD, XSLT are very important. We are looking for an experienced and self-motivated Software Developer to join the Middle Tier team in our SOA development environment. Strong innovation and influence in support of SOA design is a must. The ideal candidate should possess a strong command of PHP, XML, WSDL, XSD, XSLT and schema design. The candidate will also be well-versed in code optimization and development techniques, and have experience with end-to-end high-quality development/testing/implementation. Also, this person will be highly self-motivated and capable of juggling a number of different projects at once under tight deadlines. This is a huge opportunity to perform high-profile work that will have an impact across our company. The candidate should understand the design issues and objectives of a project. At times, responsibilities will include coming up with a design vision that is clean and user-friendly. Other times, detailed specifications will be provided and must be reviewed before taking development action. You will work on multiple projects under light supervision, communicate clearly, respond to constructive feedback from the team and internal customers, and be able to provide constructive criticism and feedback on other projects as well. You should possess strong conceptual skills, a meticulous eye for detail and be able to take responsibility for a project from inception to completion. Position Requirements: B.S. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent work experience 3+ years employed in application development and database experience Proven track record of delivering on-time, quality code Background developing on Linux environment In depth coding experience in PHP Knowledge/familiarity of integration technologies including SOAP, Web Services, XML, BPEL Command/usage of the English language a must Duties include: Maintain and improve web services, orchestrations, and applications Monitor and respond to code changes or bug fixes to existing web services, orchestrations, or applications Development of software solutions that integrate via web services is a must Assist management in development of new projects Provide high quality code-base on the rollout of new features and code updates Support the implementation of major architectural enhancements Preferred Skills: Application development experience with an understanding of scaling issues, load balancing technologies, and business process flow Orchestration of services and processes for new business solutions Development with strong usage of Regular Expressions General Network understanding ? routers, switches, load balancers, DNS, etc. Distributed computing for application and design and operation ? multi-tier application development using common industry O.S. and platforms LDAP directory knowledge, authorization and authentication SUMMARY: The candidate will be responsible for the development of new and maintenance of existing business solutions within an SOA environment. Various technologies are necessary for solutions to afore mentioned business solutions.
