Please Respond to [email protected] Position: VB.Net Developer Location: Kansas City, MO Duration: 3+ Months Rate: $32/Hr - $35/Hr BEST RATE (MAX Duties & Responsibilities include: Typical projects include analysis, design, development, implementation and maintenance or enhancement of a current or new system. Provides system analysis, design and programming support for e-commerce business applications. Recommends approaches to users and team for solving business problems. Defines systems requirements and functional specifications, designs, codes, develops test plans, tests, and document systems and advises users on systems use. Resolves production problems which could include after hour support (2nd or 3rd level only). With minimal assistance, codes programs, develops test scripts, reviews test results. Writes documentation or prepares help screens for users, operations and future program maintenance. Works with other departments to ensure Web development meets the customers' expectations. Other tasks as assigned by management. Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have 2 or more years experience in software development for the web. Must work well in a team environment, fulfilling many different roles based upon the needs of a particular project. Strong proficiency with VB.NET 2.0, ASP.NET 2.0, HTML, XML, JavaScript, and MS SQL Server 2005 (stored procedures and SSIS packages), Visual SourceSafe / TFS, Visual Studio, C# a plus. Strong proficiency with relational database design and object oriented development. Understanding of CSS and SDLC documentation. Thorough knowledge of application architecture utilizing an n-tier approach. AS-400/iSeries experience a plus but not required. The ability to create end-to-end e-commerce systems. Experience developing applications utilizing principles of the full SDLC. A Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related area of study is required (equivalent work experience of 5 or more years without degree will be considered).
