Primary Skill Visual Basic Other Skills SQL and MS Excel Duration 6 Months Position Type Contract Location downtown Dallas Description *Need Local or able to go for Face to Face..* Visual Basic Developer needed. Must have strong SQL and MS Excel experience (2003 and 2007). Experience in a wholesale trading atmosphere or has worked in an Energy/Utility company is a slam dunk but not 100% required. Contractor will be doing two major projects while onsite. First project starts immediately. 1. Company is a wholesale trading group currently uses several MS Excel databases with models using VB coding to run processes. 1A. First project will be updating these models and coding in Excel and making necessary changes as requested. 2. Second project is ongoing and will last several months. Company is planning a conversion to MS Office 2007 from MS Office 2003. Using all of the aforementioned Excel databases and models, the contractor will need to test and update the databases/models/coding to ensure smooth transition to MS Excel 2007 while maintaining working models. Will help if they have used both versions of 2003 & 2007 and have done migration projects, testing and changes. Will be hiring over the phone and will see face to face if needed on local.
